No matter how civilization evolves, no matter whata visual and digital technology appears, humans are still attracted to communicate with nature.
MeregaFishingCorp. specializes at production of a wide range of fishing lures and fishing tackles.
Our founder Mrs. Miura Hana is a native of the Oga Peninsula.
Miura had a long journey to this unfeminine devotion.
As a daughter of a Japanese businessman Miura had an opportunity to travel and visit different parts of the world. It happened so that most part of her life Miura spent in Russia near the Ural mountains where she deeply fell in lovewith Russian wideness and culture. She carried out this love throughout her life and embodied into Merega brand.
Miura’s husband served on the sea border for a long time and was fond of fishing finding out secrets of old Japanese fishermen. Idea to convert her husband's passion to the business came to Madame Miura during a horse riding. While implementing her thoughts she could not help appealing to the Russian culture, this is how the melodic name “Merega” was born that means fishing tackles in the Old Russian language.
Gathering together Engineering technologistand inviting experienced Japanese fishermen she launched a production of fishing lures on the coast of Sakai city in 2000. A group of young and ambitious people began to develop design and technology of "working" baits. During 2 years all trial products were strongly criticized by Miura Hana and in a few years contemporary models of wobblers came into the market and immediately won love and recognition of Japanese fishermen. Further new forms of modern silicone baits were put into production that provided an access to the world market. Since 2004 hundreds of companies became our partners, in 2006 we concluded two big contracts for production of exclusive wobblers under the US brands (for American market).
Following the market trends the products annually confirm their international quality. The company is constantly developing, increasing the number of workplaces, the range of products and modernizing production facilities. Over the past years we managed not only to maintain the highest professional level of specialists but also established our own school of young personnel training together with Tokyo University of Technology. We continue increasing our product range by developing and producing modern fishing goods from the newest materials. We invest more than 5% of our trade turnover into research engaging 12% of personnel.
