The increased length is almost under the dimensions of the body, the horizontal fixation, the alignment of the loops on the blades and slight bending compensate for the lack of stability of such baits. A characteristic for the deep-water construction makes it more predictable in motion, increases responsiveness to the manipulation of the blank.
